COCONUT MILK
Hack open a young white virgin coconut with a hammer or hatchet. Pour coconut water into your Vita-Mix or HP3 Champ blender. Add 1 tea Frontier Alcohol-free vanilla flavoring or vanilla bean (Slit open the vanilla bean with a knife and peel off inner soft vanilla. Discard outer bean). Add 5-6 ice cubes. Blend
Almond Milk
Soak 1 cup raw organic almonds overnight. You can buy raw almonds ONLY from one source---if anyone wants this source, let me know. I can't get it until I get back into town on Friday. The state of California is requiring that all almonds be pasteruized, but they are allowing this one source to sell bags up to 50# and are truly raw. California sells 99% of the market for almonds I believe.
Heat two cups filtered water and pour in Vita-Mix or HP3 Champ. Add nuts and blend for two minutes. Pour second cup of water into blender and blend for one minute. Add four additional cups water. Strain twice thru a nut bag. Freeze almond pulp for recipes like pizza or pie crusts. Add 1 teaspoon Slim Sweet and some flavored stevia (Stevia leaves a strong aftertaste so don't put in too much). Can add vanilla bean or Frontier alcohol-free vanilla flavoring. Makes about 1 1/2 quarts of mylk. Will last about three days in frigerator.
Party Beans
Soak organic green lentils overnight. Sprout 1-2 days. Stir in enough Thai and True Curry Paste (www.earthlygourmet
Raw 'Popcorn'
Finely dice head of raw caulifower in food processor. Melt 1/4 cup raw coconut oil in dehydrator for a few minutes (never heat coconut oil above 118 degrees). Place cauliflower in bowl and stir in oil and 1/4 cup candida-free nutritional yeast. Dehydrate until crunchy dry!
Nori or collard wraps
Prepare raw hummus or pates (find recipes for these in raw food books). Spread on raw nori sheets (www.goldmine.
Pizzas
More recipes to come! I am working on some good recipes for raw pizzas. Will post in near future.
I am on the Young/Cousens diet protocol which does not allow grains or most fruits for the first 90 days.
