Hello shipshape45,

If this is hypereosinophillic syndrome, and not a sequel to the
lymphoma, then it is a very rare disorder and not a lot is known
about it. The prednisone seems to be working. This type of
eosinophillia is sometimes genetic, as I am sure you have been told.
Did your daughter have genetic mapping of the 4th chromosome? Has
your physician discussed the possibility of monoclonal antibody
therapy?
I'm assuming she has had antibody testing to rule out sensitivity
reactions to microbes.
