We do not want to turn this list into a comparison of systems, however, with the American system made up of Big Pharma, The Insurers and a host of other 'interested' parties, spending $1,400,000 every day to kill a Public Option and reform in general, I think that was a timely post.
We are speaking about a system that many of us have no choice but to use therefore I am adding to it.
America spends more per capita than any Westernized nation and others as well but falls behind these other nations in Average length of Life (Longevity), Infant Mortality, and general health care.
Does America have specialties that others do not have? Sure, there may be very well trained surgeons with specialized equipment but the overall picture is a sad commentary based upon the money spent.
