I have NOT worked in the health care industry. I am just someone diagnosed with breast cancer. And with all of us, we become experts on our own cancer. But I lack the understanding and comprehension of science to interpret things all the way. Mike, on the otherhand, does work in the industry and he has provided valuable information a few posts above this one.
As to whether you decide to take it or not, that is completely up to you. Do you have active cancer? or, are you trying to keep cancer from coming back?
I met a woman whose mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and given only 6 months to live. She went vegetarian raw and took Essiac and outlived her prognosis. I have not stayed in touch with the woman, but I would love to know how her mother did.
I think that many of us have to go with our guts on what we should and should not ingest. I instictively knew to stay away from Tamoxifen, and I love Calcium D-Glucarate. New studies are showing Tamoxifen to be a good thing. But I just know that if I were to take it, I would have something go wrong. So, perhaps the thing to do is to try Essiac and listen to your intuition and decide if it is the right thing for you.
