- Nowhere near that strict for me. I did the pure Budwig protocol for 1.5 years and was extremely compliant. This cancer still spread to my bone marrow and jugular nodes. At that point, I switched to a more balanced diet to include fish, organic range free poultry, etc. Now I've had quite a bit of fat loss and I'm working with a nutritionist to stop my cachexia and turn it around. He has me eating 28 gms protein, 30 gms carbs, and 15 gms fat each meal ... and fruit as the carb for 1 meal per day (which I usually do at breakfast win a smoothie).
Are most people not eating fruit of any kind? Are you eating grains, which have starch which converts to sugar?
- I'm eating whole grains. The way I see it, these days, I was sooo good and still things progressed ... now I have malignant ascites. I need protein, I need fat, so that's what I'm consuming these days. I honestly believe that berries, and the like, have so many nutritious properties that I just can't eliminate them.
As for your first 90 days, there's no way I could just eat that. With my anorexia, for which I have to use medical marijuana just to eat, and the ascites taking up valuable stomach space, I have to find calories where they're attractive to me. If it means I eat some sprouted pasta, then I do. If it means I eat an apple and peanut butter, then I do. This cancer's going to get fueled whether I eat or not ... I'll just feel crappier if I don't as I slowly waste away.
So, whether right or wrong (and I'm sure most people on this list would consider me wrong), my eating has gone from anally rigid to way more "normal" ... just balanced and clean.
xxoo
